Financing your New Home
In order to contract your homesite and start the build process, you'll need a pre-qualification letter from your lender. You'll then pay a 3% non-refundable deposit, which is due within five days upon accepting the contract. After that's taken care of, Buffington Homes carries the construction loan through the entire build. That means you only need to qualify for a home mortgage to get started! When your home is finished, the 3% deposit is deducted from the purchase price. You'll finalize your home loan and begin making payments from there.

1. Consult with our designers:

You'll begin by scheduling two design appointments with our professional interior designers. By the time you're finished, you will have chosen all of the interior and exterior aesthetics of your home.
2. Meet your superintendent:

Before we start building, you'll have a pre-construction meeting with your superintendent. Together, you'll review construction plans, safety policies, and any questions you may have.
3. Relax as we build your home:

Over the course of several months, we'll construct your home and keep you informed along the way with our digital Milestone Tracker. Key milestones include the foundation, slab & framing, roofing & mechanics, pre-drywall walkthrough, insulation & drywall, interior finishes (such as tile, cabinets & trim), primer & paint, a 240-point quality assurance inspection, touchups, and punch list.
4. Attend your homeowner orientation:

As your home nears completion, we'll schedule a homeowner orientation. This is where we provide detailed demonstrations of your home's operation, maintenance responsibilities, and warranties, so you feel confident once you take ownership.
5. Close on your home:

As one of the most exciting steps, you'll have a final walk-through before officially closing. At this time, you'll also get the keys, garage opener, and warranty information before moving into your beautiful new home!
